Taking for anxiety and anxiety seems to be getting worse

I've been prescribed for GAD - I've been on it for just over 10 days now. After the first week, we increased from 25mg to 50mg and I'm now feeling awful. Waaaaay more anxious, stomach pain all the time. Hot and cold flushes.
I took it before, and I never had any side effects like this.
Does this ease up at all? I'm really hopeful. I kinda can't live my life at the moment cos I'm so anxious. I'm fed up with this and I want to be me again.
