How do I know if I need to increase the dosage

I started on 25mg about 4 weeks ago. The first week and a half the side effects were rough, the next week they were really good, and then since then they have been rough again. I go in Friday and I think she said we would probably up the dosage then. I guess I just don’t know how I’m supposed to know if I need to go up on the dosage or not if that makes sense? Would love any input.
