Potential zoe bug? or mechanic?

So, I've been spamming Zoe for the last couple of days and I noticed something funny I can't find anyone talking about, sometimes her Q will fly past the indicators, both the HUD one (the funny arrow thingy we get) and the one that is placed on the ground, like if it had increased range.

After playing around with it I found out why, the second Q cast will fly to the maximum possible range according to Zoe's current location, not the location where the second Q was cast (Sorta, there is a weird thing here), that means if you re-cast Q and walk to the same direction, you will be "increasing" the range of the Q.

And it ONLY works in Zoe's favor. because if you re-cast Q and walk opposite to where you send it, it will not reduce its range.

Is this a known thing? I don't see anything about it on the ability description...

I have no idea if I explain myself, but I can upload a video if its not known or a bug.
