Dumb question: Why aren't checksum failures available in kstat?
Post Body

I'm a Prometheus user at work and a ZFS user at home, and it's finally bothered me enough to ask. I use the Prometheus node_exporter, which has some great stats on ZFS, though everything that it uses is simply available through the kstat interface. One thing that is not available, however, are checksum failure counts. They're pretty easy to get to - They're not privileged information, you can get them from zpool status as a regular user. They're also one of the statistics exported by the new zpool_influxdb command. Is there a reason they're not available, per physical device, via the kstat interface as well?
