my partner is interested in zen buddhism, and i want to find a gift for him. i am taoist though, not buddhist, and am not too familiar with the art. he likes nagarjuna, and the heart sutra, and religious artifacts and history. i want to find something more than just a common buddha statue. more unusual and interesting, and significant. handmade, nothing from a factory. he likes zen buddhist art, but iām not educated enough in it to know what is best. maybe i can get a print on rice paper, or some sort of icon? perhaps some sort of amulet? he loves religious history, so i want it to be valuable. does anyone have any good ideas? thanks!
