Looking for advice

I’ve been eyeing a Ztava Zpap for awhile at my LGS. I know off the bat I want to upgrade the furniture for something a little more modern. I plan to go with Jmac Handgaurds and an RS Regulate optic mount. However the Zpap is about $1000, and I don’t want to spend that kind of money when I know I’m going to remove the furniture and upgrade. Is there a place I can acquire the meat and potatoes, the business of the rifle, minus the wood furniture?
