Anyone like the band Brand New? I have a feeling Yves Tumor is influenced by them

I always thought this listening to HTATM when it dropped a couple years ago. The tone of the guitar/bass/vocal melodies gave off some Brand New vibes, and now this new album is making me revisit the thought. The kids vocal sample about God in "Heaven Surrounds Us Like A Hood" reminds me of the song "Daisy" a bunch. In a recent interview Yves mentions listening to a lot of emo music growing up so it isn't a reach to think there is some type of influence/connection.

Anyways, the new project is incredible. This might be the most interesting album run/evolution in recent years (decades?).
