Hey everyone.
Me and my partner have been playing around with Yuzu and we've both encountered strange issues with frame draw speeds in Breath of the Wild. Both are running the dynamic draw and 60FPS patches. Both are running stock Yuzu settings with multithreading and expanded memory layout, with Vulkan API selected.
Rig 1: 3080ti 13700k i7 32GB 3000MHz DDR4
Rig 2: 3080ti 10700k i7 32GB 3000MHz DDR4
Rig 1 when initially loaded into the game runs at half framerate, with around a 30ms frame draw time. If you then minimize Yuzu and maximize it again you get the standard 16.6ms frame draw and a smooth 60 FPS. Annoying but workable, any ideas why this might be happening are appreciated though.
Rig 2 however loads into the game with about a 40 FPS framerate, and nothing seems to make it budge. Consistent 20ms frame draw time, and only 2-3% GPU utilization in general. The minimize trick doesn't seem to make it 'kick in' the way it does on Rig 1 either.
So far I've attempted to set high performance power settings in both Windows and the nvidia control panel, plus threaded optimization on and vsync off in the nvidia control panel as well. I've tried using the force maximum clocks settings, normal/high/extreme GPU accuracy, and tried toggling most other settings related to the GPU as well.
I've tried closing practically every other program on the machine but whatever I do it just will not run at a smooth framerate, and I think the specs more than cover it. As far as I can tell Yuzu just is not engaging the GPU properly. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.
