Did anyone else keep their Millennium Manual?

I got this at my local Toys-R-Us when I was like 9 in 2004. I believe Upper Deck would give these and the promo cards to licensed stores to give out to kids for completing goals inside the manual. It was a pretty clever way to sell kids more packs and get make them a fan for life. I feel like if this was a thing now, it would incentive new players to get into the game.
