How do you find people to play with in person?

I can tell people are buying yugioh cards all over my town, all the stores get boxes and within 2 days they are all sold out. But I dont know how to find anybody to play with. Nobody im friends with wants to play, im stuck teaching my nephews how to play and would like some friends closer to my age to duel with. How should I go about finding yugioh players to duel with? And what are things I should watch out for? I have been vaccinated and will be wearing a mask, and will be cautious of covid still. Please and thank you for your help.
