Hey all.
I'm working on a project like what the title says - creating a .pdf you can read easily on your mobile/computer of all the lore to exist(if you don't know what "lore" means, its basically the backstory, and in this context means the backstory of the cards and how they overarch). The idea came up when I was trying to read the game's lore but I was like "damn this is in such bad quality", mostly cuz the lore is so scattered and most doesn't make it outside of Japan anyways, so it has to be translated(ew). It's not gonna be easy though, organizing it is going to be difficult and I also wanted to put in the trivia/name etymology behind the cards mixed in for a thorough, all-in-one source for all of Yugioh's lore. I also want to fix up the language used. Once completed I may convert it into a Youtube series but my editing skills are horrible, I'll see about that later. I will update it as Master Guide 6/other lore sources come out, of course. Here are the problems I wanted to seek help out from the yugioh community:
>I have some trouble understanding the lore posted on https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Card_storylines through which one can access Master Guides 1-5. (If you stumble upon 3, or whatever just edit the link for that to the number you want to read). Most of it I can comprehend, certain events I do not. I want the compilation to be as accurate as possible, and so want to avoid putting in my own comprehension to fill in those gaps.
>As stated earlier, I want to stuff in the trivia between cards shown but I have yet to figure out how to put this in an orderly fashion while telling out the story itself. Or if you feel like you have a good reason for me to not mix the the lore with the trivia, I can separate the two, just let me know in the comments~
EDIT: > In the master guides, multiple card backgrounds are told through reports/interviews. I don't know how I'll convert this reported text form into a narrative(or whatever normal writing is called).
I feel like I'm forgetting one more problem, I'll edit the post when/if I do. I feel like this will be one of my long-term goals I'll probably work on during weekends, as my life's about to get real busy soon, I think. However I do not know if my motivation will last as this is going to be my first attempt at such a large event, but I'll try continuing on it for as long as I can, or just postpone it instead of outright cancelling it.
If you can help address any of these problems(or want to contribute to the project), please let me know below in the comments, dms/pms, or on Discord: Decode Talker #3032
Sorry if I came off as stiff, I don't post often on Reddit(or any forum-esque website really). Also I have yet to think of what to call this project too, may give an update on that on a later post, depends.
