Post Body

I am newly returning to this game and have been trying to build a irl deck to be able to properly hold my own in duels when I go to meet ups. I would like to be at a competitive dueling level, however I'm still a bit limited on the cards I own.

I started with spellcasters cards because they are quite strong and I already had a lot of combo cards with great synergy. I then ended up wanting to add in my warrior types due to owning two dark paladin fusion cards. Lastly I added in dragons as a pseudo 'sacrifice' type to make my graveyard full of dragons for my Paladin. I am sadly very limited on my dragon cards however. Overall I have practiced dueling myself with a second deck I've made and the results are fairly positive regarding this deck, however I still would like input on the strength of this current deck. I know this is a fairly strong deck, but I know there are weaknesses. I've yet to properly test this deck however as I've only 'dueled' myself. Thank you.

(43 cards total, plus 3 in extra deck)

Fusion Cards/Extra Deck (3)

  • 2x Dark Paladin

  • 1x Red-Eyes Slash Dragon - This was because I've included a decent amount of warrior/red eyes cards and felt I may get use of of this

Monsters (25)

  • 2x Dark Magician

  • 2x Buster Blader

  • 2x Red-Eyes B. Dragon - To build up the dragons in my deck, to benefit from Dark Paladin's Effect

  • 1x Old Vindictive Magician

  • 1x Magician's Valkyria

  • 2x Silent Swordsman Lv 3

  • 1x Silent Swordsman Lv 5

  • 1x Silent Magician Lv 4 - I sadly only have one, but I still added this combo to my deck

  • 1x Silent Magician Lv 8

  • 1x Breaker the Magical Warrior - I very often use effect immediately when summoned

  • 2x Skilled White Magicican

  • 2x Skilled Dark Magician

  • 2x Red-Eyes Retro Dragon - to special summon Red Eyes and to further boost amount of dragons in my deck - pairs well with Red Eyes Slash Dragon if I can pull off the lucky combo

  • 1x Heliosphere Dragon - one of the few additional dragon cards I own - great effect and def though

  • 1x Cyberdark Claw - A complete filler card, decent atk but mostly in deck as another dragon card

  • 1x Worm Apocalypse - Great for those scary spells/traps i need to dismantle

  • 1x Magician of Faith

  • 1x Sangan

Trap Cards (5)

  • 1x Waboku

  • 1x Starlight Road - for the 1st effect

  • 1x Mirror Force

  • 1x Scrap-Iron Scarecrow

  • 1x Shadow Spell

Magic Cards (13)

  • 1x Fusion Sage

  • 2x Polymerization

  • 1x Ancient Rules - only used for Dark Magician and Red Eyes, can be very useful though

  • 1x Shard of Greed - mainly a filler to get extra cards

  • 1x Black Pendant - the literal only equip card I own

  • 1x Shrink

  • 1x Magical Dimension

  • 1x Empowerment - seemed an obvious choice to include considering i was using all three types

  • 1x Dark Hole

  • 1x Swords of Revealing Light

  • 1x Dark Magic Attack

  • 1x Mystical Space Typhoon

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this deck given my limited amount of cards however I'd love to hear what I'm doing right and wrong in your opinion. Thank you all
