Competing Against my Own Saltiness
Post Body

I have been spending hours refining my World Chalice deck by testing hands, and editing accordingly. Yesterday, I finally dueled with it for the first time against my buddy. He is running Spyrals with Double Helix proxies. Also, unlike me, he's actually been dueling with his deck.

I won the 1st round with a terrible board because he bricked, but he easily took 2nd round. I went first on the 3rd round, made my best board, and he was able to break it and win out.

I think a little salt is natural because no one likes to lose and all, but this time is different. I am so damn salty that I am fighting to talk myself out of changing my deck too much, or dropping it altogether.

Another friend of mine pointed out a few things to consider - my deck is only running non-proxy currently legal cards, and his is running stuff from the future such as Double Helix. Also, he's been dueling a lot with the deck and that was my first time playing with mine against anyone. Lastly, I did not side-out between rounds.

Regardless, I am taking this loss hard and I really need help. Any advice?
