Possibly my favourite new archetype amid all my nostalgia hype for Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician, given that my main other deck is currently unusable for tournament purposes (Shaddoll Princesses, free Construct pls). Had a dabble on YGOPro and could use some advice on tech choices and where to look at improving.
.
Monsters: 20
Lunalight Wolf (3): The archetype's low scale. Acts as a OPT Polymerisation should I not be able to get it for whatever reason, at the cost of banishing the materials from field or graveyard (a vital point!). On the field, it gives all your Lunalight Monsters piercing damage, which is great for the Fusion Monsters once you stack their ATK points.
Lunalight Tiger (3): The other archetype scale, which annoyingly only has a 5-scale so can't Pendulum Summon Wolf back to the field since it's Level 6. Pendulum effect helps bring back from the grave (sans effects and attack capability) for a turn for fusion materials as an alternative to Wolf's effect, and it's monster effect is slightly more useful, Special Summoning from the graveyard upon destruction. Helps to recycle more useful materials, and can be Pendulum Summoned to repeat.
Lunalight White Rabbit (3): First effect is your primary method of activating Blue Cat's effect - on Normal Summoning, you can Special Summon a Lunalight monster from your graveyard. Also helpful for fishing up the lesser fusions should they be destroyed. Second effect makes for handy back row removal to ensure the OTK - target opponent's S/T up to number of Lunalight monsters you control and return them to the hand.
Lunalight Blue Cat (3): A must at three - upon Special Summoning, you can double the original attack of one of your non-Blue Cat Lunalight Monsters. Slap this on the fusions to go in for the kill. Upon destruction Special Summons from the deck - again, useful for searching.
Lunalight Purple Butterfly (3): I'll be honest and say I did't use this for much besides fusion material in my testing, but it looks like it could prove useful. You can send it to the graveyard from the hand or field to boost a Lunalight by 1000 ATK, which can help add a little more firepower if needed. Second effect is another Blue Cat option - you can banish it from the grave to Special Summon a Lunalight from the hand. If you can get both off in one turn, the damage soars upward.
Lunalight Black Sheep (3): The card every Fusion archetype needs - a Poly searcher. Discard from the hand to add a Polymerisation from the deck, or as a second option you can add a Lunalight from the graveyard to your hand. Useful for recovery, but the first effect is more useful. If used as a fusion material, you get the added bonus of adding a Lunalight from your graveyard or face-up Extra Deck back to your hand, handy for recovering Wolf since it can't be Pendulum Summoned.
Maxx "C" (2): Adds draw power or shuts down Special Summon-heavy plays. Useful tool to have tucked away.
.
Spells: 13
Polymerisation (3): A must have for a fusion deck that doesn't have it's own Fusion card. Would love to see one in a later set that can bring back banished cards to the grave as a second effect.
Fusion Recovery (2): I like it at two. One isn't enough given how needed Fusion Summoning is to the deck, and I've never needed a third, so I didn't want to add it unnecessarily. Essentially gives you five Polys, which is more than enough and Wolf's effect can cover the extra if you need more than that.
Fusion Tag (1): I have this at one to use as a shortcut to keep my opponent off guard. If everything else is available, skipping to Leo Dancer early is very useful to put your opponent on the back foot.
Burial from the Different Dimension (1): Takes three banished monsters and puts them back in your graveyard. Helps cover the losses from the effects of Wolf and Purple Butterfly, and is handy to have if stuff like BTH catch you off guard.
Fire Formation - Tenki (3): All the Lunalights are Beast-Warriors, so being able to search for anything bar Wolf is extremely useful. The extra 100 ATK is a nice bonus too whilst the card stays on the field.
Twin Twisters (2): Standard back row removal, and can help send things like Blue Cat to the grave to fuel Special Summoning.
Allure of Darkness (1): The non-Pendulum Lunalights are all Dark, so this adds more draw power at a banishing cost. Can recover with BFTDD.
.
Traps: 7
Lunalight Reincarnation Device (3): When one of your monsters is destroyed by battle or card effect, add two Lunalights from your deck to your hand. A slow search since it has to be set first, but adds flexibility and can easily search Black Sheep to get Poly quicker.
Solemn Strike (2): Standard Special Summon / Effect shutdown.
Compulsory Evacuation Device (1): Handy for keeping boss monsters out of the way if they beat you to summoning one.
Quaking Mirror Force (1): Big shut down. Forces your opponent to rethink since they basically can't use any of those monsters again, and can be handy for a Wolf/Panther Dancer combo.
.
Extra Deck (7)
Lunalight Cat Dancer (3): First fusion stage, so needed at three. Can't be destroyed by battle, so can safely take on anything up to 2400 (3400 with Purple Butterfly). If you Tribute a Lunalight monster, it can attack all of your opponent's monsters twice each, as it doesn't destroy in the first attack. Inflicts 100 LP damage every time it declares an attack, which can easily add up in combination with it's Tribute effect.
Lunalight Panther Dancer (2): Cat Dancer's big sister, which swaps battle destruction immunity for effect destruction immunity, which is more useful. Has the same effect as Cat Dancer without the Tribute cost, which is always helpful and has the added bonus of gaining 200 ATK for each monster she destroys until the end of the turn. Needs Cat Dancer and one Lunalight to summon, which can easily be done straight after summoning Cat Dancer if you have Fusion Recovery to hand or Wolf in your Pendulum Zone.
Lunalight Leo Dancer (2): The big boss. As well as effect destruction immunity, it now can't be targeted, which makes it utterly fantastic. Rather than needing an effect for multiple attacks, Leo Dancer gets a straight two attacks every turn. However, if it attacks a monster, after the damage step, you can destroy all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls. No targeting, just straight up clears the field, paving the way for a nice 3500 direct attack, or higher if other effects are in play. Needs Panther Dancer and two other Lunalights though, alternatively Fusion Tag can put one out at the cost of any three Lunalights, which isn't too shabby.

The main problems I have are filling the extra deck out and possibly changing some tech choices. TCG doesn't have {{Lunalight Crimson Fox}} yet, meaning Rank 4 plays all rely on Blue Cat, who you need off the field to be able to Special Summon for its effect. There are plenty of L2 and L3, so some Rank 2 and 3 options could help.
The big card OCG have that TCG doesn't yet is {{Lunalight Perfume}} - which is an archetype specific Monster Reborn that also searches from the deck if you banish it and discard a card. Fantastic card to help the deck, hoping it's an import in TDIL or INOV.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, it's the first R/F I've made and I suspect there's a lot of good ideas out there already for Lunalight decks that I haven't seen. Share your ideas!
