So I was running Nekroz, but mind you:

• I had no side deck. (didn't make one yet)
• Missing 2x Brio and 2x Valkyrus. (I used filler staples)
• I was nervous like crazy and twitching.

Here were my matches:

1. Blackwings: 2-0. The guy was really nice and cool about explaining his Blackwings. Royal Decree and Djinn locked helped a lot.

2. Mermails: 2-0. I played against my friend and it was his first time using Mermails. Djinn lock is sooo good. Also, I only ran 1x Trish in my deck but he's reusable.

3. Yosenjus - 2-1. I liked this guy's Yosenju's pendulum deck. Yosenjus look really fun to play with. He had 3x Vanities Emptiness in his deck but he never got to them. He joked that if he added a fourth one it still wouldn't make a difference, lol. Gungnir helped me against mirror force in this match. :)

4. Mermails - 0-2. Another player used Mermails but he was really good. Tidal is an annoying card to get over by and I misplayed a lot. I thought I had a Djinn combo lock but I was missing a ritual spell and I had Lavalval chain just sitting there lol.I forgot to use a ritual spell's effect when I had no monsters and I could have Trishula'd. I also misplayed in Round 2 and mixed up Nekroz Cycle's requirements with being able to tribute from the grave and the player read the card twice after a turn and caught on it so I felt really bad and forfeited the match. We all learn from mistakes though right?

My locals has a very small Yugioh player base (it's more Magic orientated), and I received $15 in store credit which isn't bad. (First place is $20).

TLDR; Nekroz. I feel horrible for taking forever on my first turn to set up the Djinn lock because I need to make sure I can make it happen. Do you guys have any tips for someone getting back into Yugioh to not feel as scared?
