I mentioned this in a vent thread a few weeks back, but seeing what today is, it bears repeating:

So there's this monster card called Dark Magician. The only deck in the game that plays it is the newly-released Dark Magician deck, one of the most casual decks ever. I pulled a bunch of Magician Girls from the Sneak Peek and was suddenly reminded of when I became interested in them when I was checking through the MRL setlist a couple weeks ago. I looked up what tech cards the deck needed to play, logged on to TCGplayer to get the cards in advance, and found that Dark Magician, the card that the deck can't play without, had vanished from the market. Out of stock everywhere. I checked today, too. Still unchanged.

Dark Magician is a famous card, which means it's quantity is almost as low as the amount of IQ points needed to post on Yugijerk. So one of two things happened: 1) I underestimated the popularity of Dark Magician and all available copies of Dark Magician were snatched by people who bought them months in advance. 2) Some absolutely despicable scalper bought out every copy in existence and in two days Dark Magician will return to the market with a fifty dollar price tag.

Both of these possibilities make me very very angry. Whether it's Konami not putting enough of a card into circulation or some scalper looking to extort a deck that can't play without this card, I don't care. Never have I been completely barred from a piece of support that was necessary for my deck to function. At least Minerva, the most coveted Prize Card in history (after Cyber-Stein) was for a GOOD deck and she eventually got her reprint. And Frightfur Patchwork, the poster-child for unobtainable support, at least has high demand and will get here EVENTUALLY. Dark Magician has neither of those things going for it. Famous cards get reprinted all the time as it is, and definitely not because a trash-tier deck like Dark Magician needs it. There is no hope for me.

But hey, we just had our SECOND printing of Work Bait, so everything's totally fine, right?

I am very mad. I drove all the way to CSU to play in a tournament, get stuck in traffic and lost against this retarded ass sheik. Down threw tech chase and wouldn't stop shino stalling I really cannot think straight right now. I offered to MM him for more than $20. Nope. I thought I would have made it out of pools if I knew how to fucking buffer roll. But they didn't even give me the frames to do it. Bullshit, just straight up bullshit. Probably will never go to a tournament that gay ass sheiks enter ever again. This definitely ruined my day.
