Hello!
I make instructional and e-learning videos that are mostly screen captures.
I've been using Hitfilm Express for a video editor, and while great, it is a little "too much horsepower" for my needs.
Specifically, there are two features that I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a Video Editor that includes these features:
Adding CallOuts and Annotations -- A simple way to add lines, circles, boxes, translucent shapes, arrows, etc, to videos to highlight and draw attention to certain areas of the screen. Ideally these would include appropriate animation (i.e.: An arrow would appear to be drawn on to the screen, not simply appear or "wiped" on to the screen. Or a Circle would appear drawn
Adding Text as if it were hand written. -- Most all video editors have the ability to add text. I'm looking for one that lets you add it as if you were writing the text on the screen by hand. Not just titles, but actual content or formulas or arithmetic, etc. (and I don't mean typewriter effect, or "wipe" effects)
Drawing with Pen ontop of videos in post -- A bonus would be the ability to add pen drawn annotations ontop of videos in post, this might take care of #1 above.
The closest I've found for #1 was Movavi video editor, but the actual adding and editing seemed a little clumsy. I haven't found anything that can do #2 or #3.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: I am open to there being multiple tools to get the desired outcome. If you know of a tool that does one of these really well, but not the other, please suggest it still!
