I decided to have a giveaway for Christmas, but I've been informed giveaways are against YT policy. I saw the overview of Giveaway TOS, but it's VERY confusing and vague. Basically my contest is: 1. Be a subscriber 2. Follow me on twitter, and tweet at me that you want to take part 3. wait till Christmas Eve for the winner
Is this against YT policy, and/or will this give me a strike on my channel (or worse: termination)?
I'm really paranoid now about this, but I'm hesitant to take down the video until I know for sure that it's not allowed (considering everyone already is hyped about this giveaway). I've seen arguments from people on other forums insisting that the guidelines I looked at don't apply to giveaways, as giveaways =/= contests.
Here's a link to the Google Guidelines I'm referring to: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1620498?hl=en
