I put networking in quotes cause I am using it fairly loosely. More so on the sense of actually making buds over what feels like “coworkers.”
I personally am a very social person, I played in bands for the better part of the last decade or so. But majority of my irl friends aren’t into this side of things, nor gaming really.
Besides doing the obvious suggestions (i.e. chatting in streams, commenting on posts, surfing reddits & facebook groups etc.) What’s worked for you in terms of making friends within the content side of things? I don’t generally even watch streamers for the game they are playing, I watch for the person. The bigger content creators I indulge in I don’t watch for the game. Hell, most of the time I watch my favorites play Uno.
In my own personal experience, most NOT ALL but most of the streamers I have talked to are cool at first then they are egotistical douchebags.
What are some things that have worked for you when it comes to your inner circle of content creators?
