Why won't the search base show results?

Over the past few months I haven't been able to render any results when I search for content in the Youtube search bar. While this issue started out in Brave, I now am not able to generate results in Chrome. I'll search and where video's normally would be there's just dark space.
I am able to click on videos from the home screen but that, of course, limits my viewing options. When I go that route the comments aren't visible. Does anyone have any tips on how I can fix this or what might be happening?
