What's the deal with this?
It seems to be related to youtube videos about movies.
Twice in the past week now I've been unable to click anywhere on a Youtube video's page (including fullscreen, pause, and any related vidoes) without being taken immediately to that movie's "Youtube Movies" page.
Who could have possibly thought this was a good idea? It's the most annoying form of advertisement I've ever seen, and as far as I can tell there is no way to prevent it short of adblock. And even then you have to specifically "block element" for it to work.
