Me and a family member were talking about how Youngstown, a town with about 60,000 people, STILL has two Catholic high schools with declining enrollment. For context, my family member graduated from Ursuline in 1987 and i graduated from Ursuline in 2012. With so many options for schooling (open enrollment, most Y-Town suburbs being reasonable, etc.), you get graduating classes of maybe 90-100 (not sure about Mooney but it can’t be above 125). Plus, they’re in buildings than can hold much more. With that, should Mooney and Ursuline consolidate into one school?
