Visiting Yorkshire to see family, bringing my fiancé for his first time! Looking for anything that’s a “must see”

Hi everyone!
I am visiting Yorkshire from the US (Boston area). I’ve been a few times - my mum is from Tadcaster. This’ll be my fiancé’s first time in Yorkshire. He’s been to Wiltshire and London before, but I want him to love the Yorkshire area as much as I do.
Right now, our trip consists of days in York, Helmsley, Malham, and Whitby. Any advice on what we should do or see?
