Best hostel / cheap place to stay for a night or two in York?

I'm heading up your way for a work thing next week and then I'm off work for a bit so thinking of hanging around and exploring York for a day or so.
Was just wondering where the best places to stay for a night or so are on a budget. Thinking clean and safe over fancy, I'm just after somewhere to lay my head and stuff for a few hours after all!
