Wanted to share a Yorick story.

To preface, I've felt for a while that I often make better macro decisions than the average silver scrub but for some reason, my fellow silver scrubs constantly rep call me. This usually happens when I genuinely think I'm playing correctly based on watching too many hours of SRO. I've come to the conclusion that either 1) I'm so turbo bad I can't see the obvious or 2) they're so stupid that the correct play actually looks like trolling to them. As of today, I'm certain it is number 2.

I was playing Yorick top. It's my third game ever of Yorick, just trying him into normals against my fellow silver scrubs. This time, I was up against a Kayle. Luckily for me, the Kayle was also new to his champ and liked to die. I got a couple of solo kills in lane and realised that just how much Yorick can chase with E and W is turbo broken lol. The poor guy stepped into my E once, then I managed to land a W, by the time he was out, E was back up to give me more movement speed and kill him under tower.

I got all 5 plates of T1 top tower. Then I took herald, took the T2 and damaged the T3. I later returned for the T3 and inhib. I rotated bot lane and took T2 and T3 inhib in succession. The entire enemy team was chasing my team through our red side jungle and our mid wave was pushing, so I died for mid inhib. By this point I was already getting rep called every 2 minutes by our veigar, nasus and pyke for "not playing with the team". I was also being flamed for taking half of a krugs camp at 20 min that Nasus jungle really didn't want me to have. That was the last friendly jungle camp I bothered taking.

By now, my team was mega tilted from running it down 4v5 constantly and taking it out on me. We didn't manage to get all 3 inhibs down at one time, but I did manage to take all of them by myself. I don't know if they just didn't want to win anymore or what but the enemy was pushing back and they were taking every terrible fight. I couldn't split anymore because they wouldn't create any map pressure at all and I'd get collapsed on each time because my teammates would just run in circles in the jungle. So, I thought, fuck it. I don't have an option anymore but to 5v5. So I took a bad fight in the enemy blue jungle and went with it.

Two of my teammates got slaughtered, and we retreated into our red jungle. As the enemy was chasing my teammate, I noticed my opportunity: The bot lane of super minions were just about to crash into the enemy tower. I flashed and ran into the hexgate by baron to gain distance and TP'd in. Luckily, I took both towers and as I was about to finish the nexus, the enemy minions spawned on me and creep block *almost* stopped me from placing the finishing blow as the enemies engaged on me. But no, I last hit the nexus just in the nick of time to the chorus of my team crying "rep yorick" in all chat.

It's good to be right.

Disclaimer: There is of course a very large probability that I am indeed just so turbo bad I can't see why my teammates disagree with my decisions in 99% of all instances, but on this particular occasion I would like to believe I made the right call lol.
