I have been attending yoga group classes (and other classes) at a gym for 2–3 years.
While I’ve made progress overall, there are specific exercises where my range of motion has barely improved since I started.
I’m considering seeking help from a skilled teacher by taking private lessons or attending a specialized yoga school. However, since this would be an additional expense, I’d like to hear about others’ experiences. Has working with a good teacher significantly improved your progress in yoga?
If so, what was unique about their teaching that you didn’t get in regular gym classes?
