The term "challenging" is subjective here. But I'm curious what poses people initially did not like, had difficulty with, and dreaded being called in their practice that eventually became comfortable, peaceful, and lovely poses to hold?
For me, chair pose was very tough for the first 2 or so years of my practice. I felt fatigued, tense, uncomfortable, and not confident in my legs, back, and hips. Revolved chair? Forget about it! Now after several years of practice, I welcome the pose and it stands as a reminder of how far I've come on my journey every time I sit back into it.
What about you?
