Hi! I’ve done hours of research in this sub and believe I’ve settled on these three options based on my priorities. However, I’ve seen mixed comments here and there regarding the longevity of each so I’m trying to get a better sense of the average lifespan of these mats. I know the frequency, care, and type of yoga can be differentiating factors.
If price wasn’t a factor, I probably would go with the Yoloha due to low maintenance and grippy aspect but I still don’t have a sense of the average lifespan of it. Jade gets a lot of love but I’ve seen mixed comments on longevity ranging from up to two years to more than 5 years (with regular use) and B Mat seems in line with that timeline as well.
In case it helps, here were my priorities:
- Not doing hot yoga currently but would like this purchase to be able to handle it for the future so it shouldn’t pool with sweat
- Durable enough to last for at least 4-5 years to justify the spending
- Around 4-6mm thickness and dense/doesn’t sink in
- Easy to clean and doesn’t trap in odor/bacteria
- Doesn’t stain with sweat
- No harmful chemicals
Thank you in advance for any help!
