It finally happened, after a year of living debt free, I’m now in debt.
I got an unexpected promotion that required relocating. Since I didn’t expect it, I didn’t have it funded. Thanks to YNAB I have been able to build up a modest savings and overfund some categories. So I told myself whatever I spend on the move I’ll work to payback with the raise I get.
Over the last month I have been rearranging money throughout categories to pay for everything.
Yesterday I actually sat down and did the math. I owe myself thousands. But thanks to YNAB I have a plan to pay it back within the next 6 months to a year.
Have never spent so much money and feel so confident in myself to get back on track to being financially responsible.
