Hi! So Iāve been using YNAB for a couple of months now and am really liking it so far. Iām self employed as a pet sitter, mainly through Rover. However, Iām not sure what to put as the payee when Iām paid via Venmo or Cash? For my usual income I just put āRover,ā put I want to be able to keep income from private clients separate. Iāve thought about titling it āPet Sittingā, but then I wonāt know which method I was paid through. Which I guess isnāt a huge deal, I just want to make it easier to find everything for tax purposes
the great thing about payees is that you can call them whatever you want. i just call mine āwork incomeā so in my reports thatās what it shows up as, regardless of the company iām at.
you can choose to have three payees to track your work income as āwork - venmoā and āwork - cashā and āwork - roverā
edit: or simply āroverā and āprivate clientā ā entirely up to you and determined by how you want to see the info in any reports.
