Unfortunately even though I asked for no hints, some of the comments made me figure out that Tachibana was going to die and also that Makoto would be ok. However, I did not expect Tachibana to go like that... I cried. The very definition of tragic. I'm glad it wasn't what I expected, which was a cliche like his kidneys failing.

I beat this game on Normal Mode in 57 hours. I literally played like 20% of the game in one night. LOL I honestly didn't think I would beat the game tonight, but here I am. The last and only time I played a game for over 10 hours to beat it was Trails to Azure.

Okay time for some brain vomit because so much happened.

I was so devastated to see Lee, Oda, and Nishitani die. DAMN I did not know Yakuza would have so many deaths. I'm too used to fake out deaths in anime and games that this was a pleasant (BUT PAINFUL) surprise. Also, I flipped at Oda's betrayal. I didn't see that coming. Also I loved doing the car battle/chase/whatever you wanna call it. That was so fun. Also, Kuze... I was so sick of him omg like bro 4 fights with him? FR? I didn't think Shibusawa would be the final boss but I guess it made sense!

Surrprisingly, I didn't cry at the ending, in fact, the way Majima was talking to the doctor made me laugh after all the emotions I went through. The post-ending made me very emotional, of course. As soon as the tune started playing I was like AAAAAAAAAAA IT'S THE WATCH

I cried at Kiryu and Nishiki at the end again. When Kiryu was going to kill Shibusawa I prayed that Nishiki would come and stop him and then right after he came blasting through from the side of the screen and I screamed LOL And then I cried at his speech again. I love these two so much. Also I really ship Nishiki and Reina... She was so good!!

I enjoyed the gameplay, the pacing, everything. I don't really have any complaints.. Hmm, I guess some minigames were frustrating and also I wish there was an option to run away in the middle of a battle. Sometimes I got really tired of fighting over and over again because I couldn't outrun the enemies properly or like I took a wrong turn, etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed there being dual protagonists.I really loved both characters, and I see that Majima has his own flair here, but I must say without a doubt that Kiryu was my favorite. (It doesn't help how ridiculously handsome he is... cough) Will there be a day we see Kiryu actually smile? He ALMOST smiled at the very end!! I LOL'd when Majima said "Kiryu-chan". That was great. Majima was so enjoyable and fun to play as. His Breaker Style was so fun to play as!! The Cabaret Club minigame was ridiculously addicting.

My fav minigame was definitely Karaoke. The fanchants killed me. I can't get a higher score than like 92 because I'm laughing too much while playing it. The TeleClub one is RIDICULOUS. I laughed so hard at the dramatic animation; Kiryu picking up the phone for some reason reminded me of Light and the potato chip scene LMAO

I really really really loved the localization for this game and it added so much to it!! I had so much fun reading the dialogue and comparing the Japanese. I need to contact the localizor and tell them I appreciate their work so much!!

Also upon going through the credits, WHAT DO YOU MEAN KIRYU SERVES 10 YEARS IN PRISON?!?! AND NISHIKI BECOMES A CHANGED MAN?!?!?!? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT (I'm definitely going to cry again I know that bec of the comments from my previous post...)

I have read many posts and comments saying that Y0 is peak Yakuza in terms of story so it's not necessarily recommended to play as your first game because it sets expectation, but that's okay, I can deal with meh stories if it means the characters stay amazing. I love the Tales series anyways so there's that lol Y0 was on sale for like $5 which is why I took the plunge and I'm so happy I did!

I'm off to finish up all the substories!! I only got through about half on each side... Geez. Then next is Kiwami if I'm not mistaken?!?! I'm ready but not ready at the same time to continue my journey. Until then, kyoudais!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
