Sorry just want to express (little bit of rant as well maybe) myself here.

I just finished 0 just mere minutes ago and with that I completed all of the main Yakuza series. I've been binge-playing the series in the last 2,3 months and god damn...honestly I felt a bit empty now. Haven't felt like this since I finished Cold Steel 4.

I've started with 7 last year when it came out and just fall in love with it so I decided to go dive into 0-6. Played through Kiwami - 6 then I finished it off with 0.

My preference for the Kiryu saga : Kiwami 2 > Kiwami > 5 > 0 > 6 > 4 > 3

To me, the series started of as a bad ass criminal drama but after Haruka pops up, to me the focus totally shifted to the relationship between her and Kiryu. As much as I love 6 being the closure (I bawled my eyes out almost 50% of the game), but I still having a hard time accepting the story of 6. What with all that happened with Haruka and all. I'm a real sucker for a good father/daughter relationship story, hence 6, to me, just doesn't do it. I love 5, even though the stories is damn convoluted the "surprising" last boss, but 5 really showcased the bond that Kiryu and Haruka have. There's a sidestories for Haruka where she's giving an interview for an Okinawa magazine and they are reading the letters sent in by the kids at Morning Glory. Fuck I cry a shit ton on that . Especially in that ending...oh boy...my eyes felt numb after that ending.

The freaking Dragon of Dojima is literally experiencing depression because he need to leave Haruka and Morning Glory. Credit to the seiyuu because can literally tell that Kiryu miss Haruka so god damn much. Can't imagine how he feels after he needs to leave them "forever" at the end of 6. He literally just want to spend time with her and the rest of the kids in peace and he finally have the chance to do that at the end since finally Haruka felt the same and just goes fuck becoming an idol...but boom...6 happens.

Because of that I'm about to replay 5 premium adventure now just so Kiryu can finally spend some time with Haruka after been separated for a year.XD

TL;DR = This series just create a hole in me. Fuck man...does nobody gets a true happy ending in this game. Though probably I guess that's what they are trying to portray. Life can't always get a happy ending huh.
