So I adore the Yakuza series. I've played through 0, Kiwami, and 6. I bought the remastered collection and played through half of 4, but I've gotten pretty bored.

I actually really liked it for Akiyama's storyline and may have been happy if he was the main character the whole time. But after him, I duno, I've just kind of gotten bored with the characters and the story.

Is 5 any better in terms of entertainment and story quality maybe? Or should I just skip to Kiwami 2?

Wow, I'm kind of dissapointed in this community. I'm getting a lot of negative response for not playing the games in the correct order. I never said it was the ideal way or I was suggesting it to anyone, just the way I did it due to game availability and personal preference. But it's being treated like a personal attack to people bc I didn't dig up an old PS2 and a copy of Yakuza 1 and start there
