need help about to lose account

New phone , reformatted old phone. Canceled plan as well. Need a way to recover account, it does not send a mail to my recovery account I'm not sure why. I have no way to get notifications from that phone. And when I tried to call them all they kept asking me was folders that I have and other emails that I have ???????? Instead of dealing with problems if they wanted confirmation the 6 digit code and the old phone that does not work should be enough right??
