Yesterday I had to go to the doctor for a steroid shot and a prescription for inhaled steroids. My allergies are really bad and sending my asthma into overdrive. But back to the reason for this post! The last time I saw my doctor in the beginning of March I had only been on keto for a little over a month, I had lost some weight. I told her about keto but she seemed doubtful. Yesterday when she looked at my chart she just said "Wow!" And then stared at me. "You've lost some real weight. Are you still doing that diet?" I told her I was and she asked a few questions, we had a good discussion and she congratulated me. It felt great not to get a lecture about proper nutrition and exercise, something I had come to expect from every doctor. Instead I got to teach her about this way of eating. Thank you r/xxketo!
