My routine has become far too... routine for me. I go to the gym and have a hard time motivating myself to do my workout anymore.
Every time I go I:
Stretch
Do dips
Do squats
Do bench presses
Do at least one of a couple of different ab exercises
Use the thigh press/hub abduction machine
Use free weights for my lats, triceps, biceps, and forearms.
Do some kind of back exercise (I have no idea what it's called)
Do cardio either on the eliptical machine or the ladder machine.
I have tried changing up the order a little bit, but that hasn't helped a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions of how to make things more interesting? Any alternative exercises to try?
I am especially looking for an alternative to squats. This is probably the most time consuming one I do, and while it's a good exercise, I've found myself at a plateau in regards to increasing the weight I can squat. I'm kind of permanently stuck at 230lbs.
