I've been wearing a heart rate monitor and I've been learning about my resting heart rate and it is pretty low, not dangerous low but still low. It's around 55. sometimes when im asleep it goes to 44 ish. My question tho is about cardio. Since my heart rate is so low I feel like it is harder for me to put my heart rate in the 'cardio' zone.
I have just recently begun bicycling and I am by no means in any kind of shape. I feel like cycling around is giving me a workout and then when I look at my heart rate monitor data it says I'm only briefly in the cardio zone.
Is that okay? Or should I be pushing myself harder? I get a bit winded and very sweaty. It feels like a workout to me but I dunno
