Found this link while I was browsing around and I am new to all of this. I think I understand this, but can someone please just put this into a basic-English summary? What does this mean for maximizing workouts? http://www.builtlean.com/2011/06/29/afterburn-effect-of-exercise-qa-with-dr-christopher-scott-phd/
Also.... I literally just started so I found a full body 3-day/week lifting routine that I have done for 2 weeks now. I am interested in maximizing my workouts and the time I spend in the gym. I want to get down to a healthy size. I am 5'9" 220lbs and a size 12. I don't want to focus on a weight, but I want to get down to about 20% body fat. According to the online calculators, I have 35% bf. Since bf is harder to measure, how can I figure out what weight would most closely represent the 20% bf? Is it literally just math (as in 35% of my weight is fat)?
Thank you for the support ladies!
