If you were going to sign up for an athletic event (race, competition, etc) to give yourself a goal to work toward, what would you do?
Post Body

Ever since the start of the pandemic I’ve struggled to maintain a solid fitness routine, aside from when I was training to do a century bike ride last year. It went great, but I haven’t done much since then outside of a few longish bike rides. My partner and some of our friends just did an ultra endurance gravel race and while I’d signed up but opted out because I don’t like riding gravel, it made me want to take on a new challenge that I’ll have to really work for.

If you were looking for some sort of fitness challenge, what would you do? I’m considering a powerlifting competition which would encourage me to build back the strength I’ve lost since 2020, or maybe a half marathon on road or trail, or some sort of endurance road ride. I’ve also thought about a mini triathlon but I’m scared of swimming in open water and don’t want a swim cap to exacerbate my hair loss lmao
