I've read every Dawn of X/ Reign of X title through last summer's hellfire gala. Overall, I'm really into this world and current status quo, but keeping up with all the X titles can feel tedious at times. I've tried just reading X-Men (by Hickman then Duggan) but felt like I was kinda in the dark on most things while doing this, so reading all the X titles helped me enjoy the main events and X-Men title more, but it was a lot of work to keep up with. I'm wondering if there's some compromise where I can read a couple extra titles beyond X-men. For example, for the Dawn of X era, reading Excalibur and Marauders were pretty important to follow the main story of X of Swords and the Hellfire Gala, but New Mutants, Fallen Angels, and even Hellions weren't very heavily linked to the main story. I assume Immortal X-Men will be an important one moving forward because Gillen is also writing the AXE Judgement Day cross over event. What do you guys think are the most import X titles for this Destiny of X era? Also, as I move past last summer's hellfire gala, which books are essential to read to better enjoy Trials of Magneto and X Death/Lives of Wolverine?
