I have a WD1600BEVS 160gb HDD which is compatible with the Xbox 360. I want to format it for use on my Xbox 360 from my PC, and also include the latest Original Xbox emulator files on it. It is a fully stock Xbox and not modded at all. I just got tired of the 20GB HDD on it and wanted to upggrade with a drive I had around the house that I learned is compatible. I do not want to go out and have to spend any more money on it, I just want this to be as painless as possible.
IIRC since it is a 160gb HDD, I believe the system will only treat it like a 120GB drive correct? So that extra space is going to be on an unusable partition right?
