What happened to the smoothness of 360?

I love xbox to death. But my God the xbox 1 seems like it's running off a fucking single core processor.. What happened? I have to wait 5 seconds for anything to snap, I have to wait about 1 second for the dashboard to show up, and I have to slowly move down the menus in order to keep it from breaking. I'm honestly baffled. What happened?
