Made a post related to this earlier but I have had the same Xbox live account for over 10 years ago when I made the account in elementary school. This account has moved with me from console to console with no issue ever… so I never knew to update the personal info from when I created it as a kid.

This last week my pet sitter logged out of my Xbox and signed their own account in. When I tried to put my account back into my console for the first time ever it asked to verify my account. I don’t know what to do. The number it sends the text codes to belongs to someone else who won’t help me, the security questions were all answered by me as a kid and I have no memory of the answers I put in there, and Microsoft no longer as a technical support team for Xbox live!

I’ve been trying to use their account recovery system for days now and it has denied me every single time. Now I’ve been notified that the account is blocked! Even worse, I’m still getting charged for game pass.

Take this as a warning to everyone who’s been hanging onto that decade old account! Please update your info!
