A big shout or to u/Mojmir_R for his steadfast work keeping this subreddit vibrant. For those that don’t know, he’s the operator of the Official xDAI Discord listed here, frequented by Igor and the leadership team almost daily: https://www.xdaichain.com/media/social-media. Our subreddit is also listed here. I went ahead and added u/Mojmir_R as a mod because his connections run keep with the leadership team and he’ll act as a conduit between the executive team, who already have their hands full, and this community. We’ve also added u/BrooksKoepka, who is also a mod on r/ETH and several others, bringing a wealth of experience into helping subreddits scale.

I’ve received 5 wallet addresses, mostly from very regular posters and users, so do remember to sent your xDAI wallet address via modmail and I’ll send those airdrops over. Many dozens of users have a great many tokens reserved for themselves so it's a worthwhile exercise to do so.

1,000,000 RxDAI are airdropped a month to users who contributed the most valuable posts and comments. Frequently is a consideration, but thoughtfulness and insightfulness is at least as important. When other jaded crypto enthusiasts happen upon this subreddit one of the first questions they have in their minds is: Does this community engage in thoughtful discussion on interesting use cases and blockchain-specific innovation or is it a meme avalanche, like so many other subreddits? So many crypto projects are so casual that it’s off-putting and one the strengths of xDAI, from the beginning, is the good-natured seriousness directed towards delivering a superior L2 experience, with Igor setting the tone with his well-reasoned and insightful interviews. While I’m a Bitcoin Class of 2014, I actually first learned of xDAI from an interview with Igor and was struck by his depth of understanding and facile way of explaining difficult concepts simply. Blockchain enthusiasts like decentralized projects, but they’re also looking for savvy leadership that is strategically steering the ship.

RxDAI (Reddit xDAI) is the token symbol and I’ve listed it against xDAI and HNY crypto pairs, listed on the xDAI DAO website, with a token liquidity of like $1 on Honeyswap, just to get it listed for later use.

New Business:

• The informational website is up. Keeping a DAO Reddit-specific, without a home website, is generally seen in an unfavorable light so I put it up just for users that are looking to do their own informational due diligence.
• I’m a 1Hiver dev and the guys are always looking for ways to increase the appetite for the Honeyswap Uniswap V2 fork. Many of you have voiced your positive experiences with the exchange and that feedback has been passed along. I’m launching a DAO proposal to stake airdropped RxDAI with 75 HNY. It requires about 2.97% to pass so if you have HODLed any HNY and you find merit in this then you might exercise your right to vote on this proposal.

  If approved, all 75 HNY will be immediately put on Honeyswap, affording liquidity to r/xDAI community members with RxDAI airdrops, but also necessitating that new entrants to the space without the patience to wait a month for the airdrops to buy HNY to stake along with the RxDAI they’ve acquired in order to earn the return from the trading in and out between RxDAI/HNY.
• Partnerships are Solidifying. As u/unrequested_opinion noted in a comment, while xDAI is not yet as well known, despite popular videos by Coin Bureau, Altcoin Buzz, Altcoin Author, and others, those that are keenly aware of the community have a deep appreciation for the quality of the devs, the tight community, and impressive development being done with a relatively modest community. Quality over quality on full display. The first partnership we’ll be doing is with a technical newsletter discussing Solidity, L2 chains, and Blockchain Engineering with a dev community in mind. For these valuable eyes savvy Substack authors are, rightly, willing to pay handsomely. Advertising, via a few hour pin to our subreddit, will be paid in RxDAI, creating a recurring burn which will return value to airdrop recipients, should you wish to convert into a stablecoin or any number of altcoins on xDAI or moved off-chain.
