Originally trying to introduce the game to friends, I pronounced the game 'worm'-'span', and one of my friends immediately made fun of it, assuming it was Wingspan-like but about literal worms.
As a reaction, partially as a joke and partially to avoid this misconception, I've been pronouncing it 'weerm', like in the word ear.
Yet, from what I've gathered, the old English word 'wyrm' is generally pronounced the same as 'worm', with some alternate pronunciations present. These include what I've been using, 'weerm', which makes sense as a sound y used as a vowel makes, and 'wyerm', like the sound in 'wire', since the word wyrm is derived from wyvern, which is generally pronounced that way.
So I ask you, how do you pronounce the name of the game in English? Kind of curious to see what you all use.
