How do you practice your writing skills especially in academic writing? I’m having a hard time to at least sound formal or professional on my paper requirements. Send help.
Post Body

Common school requirements would be critique papers, position papers, reflection paper, inquiry paper, analysis paper, etc. I believe all these aforementioned types of paper need a formal tone when writing and that is where my problem comes in. I was never a fan of writing formally, I fancy creative writing more and it interferes on how I write my paper. So just last week, our professor returned the first draft of our inquiry papers. There are lots of suggestions but what really hit me is that my prof told me to “formalize language”. How the hell can I formalize it though? I’ve tried my best. Can someone please recommend some habits? Some tips? How can I overcome this?
