There’s a great saying that “You only write what you know”, and I definitely agree. When writing about subjects the writer has no experience with, the results can be terrible or laughable (just look at Hulk 123.2 Richter Scale or anything MenWritingWomen.) So if I want to cover a topic I’m not super familiar with, like one of the main characters who has a serious medical condition or another who is religious, who should I speak with to gain insight from, without wasting any valuable time from their professions?
