How do I flesh out and finish ideas?

I’m new to creative writing, and I have several different ideas I want to execute. My only problem is I can’t think up of a way to write something from start to finish. I can come up with a beginning, and I can visualize an end, but the rest just feels daunting. My biggest two ideas I have write now are for a short action story, and a horror story that will be based on personal experiences with exaggerations to make it more entertaining. Any ideas on how I can make these ideas real?
