My essay won me 50 bucks! Thanks, r/writing!

I don't care if this gets downvoted, I just wanted to say this. Last semester I wrote an essay about a pond that my parents had gotten put into our yard.
Well, I submitted into a university Writing Program contest, and got third place! I'm getting 50 bucks and also it will be published in Ball Point, the school magazine. I'm an 18 year old freshman, and this is an awesome accomplishment for me. I just wanted to tell all of you guys who have really inspired me recently, and say thank you!
