How to get over being self conscious of the genres you gravitate towards writing?

Post Body
When it comes to ideas mine tends towards fantasy and involve werewolves, shapeshifters, demons, vampires, etc. I feel like these are so overdone and seen as “trashy” and (as a female writer) cliche. I wish I could come up with more unique situations, but these are the stories and characters that won’t get out of my head.
Should I just write the damn thing and hope more original stuff comes later?
